The portable me.
So. I mentioned before how I bought and then sent back a Macbook last month… after hearing about the rumours of new Macbook products. Also I am currently in London sans iMac so you can probably guess as to why there is a sudden lack of bloggage. It is the hypothetical stick in my spokes and I can’t wait for Apple to get on and release the new laptopinators in October (if the rumours are true, which at this point, I REALLY hope they are!)
Multi-touch trackpad is almost definite as this point as Adobe have made CS4 multi-touch compatible!
The new MBP’s rumored “glass” trackpad will inherit full Multi-Touch capability from the iPhone and iPod touch. Multi-Touch allows you to pinch and stretch with two fingers on the trackpad to zoom in and out. When I dug a little deeper no one could confirm that the “glass” trackpad is actually manufactured with glass which presumably would pose a breakage problem. People that have seen it say that the new trackpad is “shiny,” rather than the flat, matte finish found on current trackpads.
Also for your viewing pleasure, here is an image of one of the supposed new Macbooks which has actually been defunct as fake, but it’s still interesting to see what is circulating in the rumourville out there.
