Hard Work
Applied for my CDL (that’s Career Development Loan folks!) with Barclays recently, which involved me having to write and submit an action plan of how I plan on spending the money, how much the tuition fees for my course are, maintenance, bills, studio fees, software and materials. VERY stressful!
Also as I am still working whilst I study – of course – they are only permitted to lend me 80% of the tuition fees, which I already knew, so I have to also explain how I intend to pay for the other 20%
I said this is very stressful because I will be quite stumped if my CDL is declined. But also, in a way, it’s also very reassuring to know I have enough money to fund as much as I do and that paying for this MA, which I have wanted to do for such a long time, is even a possibility.
I’ve done a really good job of saving money so I don’t need to work whilst I study (as much as I do now) but the tuition fees are something else entirely!! Thank gawd I’m not an international student because then the fees would go up to £15k.
Phew.
This is already hard work, I guess good practice for when the course starts. Should be a breeze! (hah)
The picture in the header image is part of my final major project from my degree. Part of my omg-I’m-about-to-be-a-student-again freak out anxiety attacks require I sift through all of my university work and (panic) try to plan awesome new project ideas and research subjects. I have no idea what they are going to ask of me, but I will be prepared for all outcomes…
…I *will* get another first class honours on this course!
